So, I had 6 bananas sitting on my kitchen counter that were way too ripe to eat. I felt guilty just tossing them in the trash, so I decided to make banana bread. This was my first attempt at making banana bread and it turned out great! The taste testers in my house didn’t complain, so I knew it was a recipe worth sharing. My banana bread recipe is easy; the hardest part is waiting for it to cook for nearly an hour. Smelling it cook made me want to devour it as soon as it came out the oven!
Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make my delicious banana bread:
*2 cups all purpose flour
*1 cup sugar
*1 stick butter
*1 tsp. baking soda
*1/2 tsp. salt
*3 overripe bananas
*2 tbsp. milk
*1 tsp. vanilla extract
I’ll be honest, I just pretty much tossed everything in a mixing bowl and mixed away. I did add the bananas first. Make sure the bananas are nice and mashed up. I also nuked the butter in my microwave for 30 seconds to get it nice and soft. Once you’ve got everything mixed together, just throw it in your loaf pan (make sure to use butter or cooking spray so it doesn’t stick). Bake at 375 for 50 minutes. I would check at about the 35 minute mark just because all oven cook times can vary. Mine took 50 minutes in a convection oven.
I hope you enjoy this delicious banana bread recipe. It’s easy to whip up and sure to tickle your taste buds! Happy eating:)
